About Real Safety
The beginning:
At Real Safety, our purpose is in our name! What began as one man´s vision has grown into a global mission: to prevent slips, trips, and falls, ensuring that people return home safely everyday.
Founded in 2005 by Torben Farup, Real Safety was built on hard-earned experience from the offshore Oil and Gas sector, where even the smallest accident can have big consequences. Torben saw the need for upgrading and challenging existing practices with innovative safety solutions that were not only durable, visible, but also practical across industries.
In 2007, the story became deeply personal. Torben suffered a severe fall accident. What could have ended his journey instead gave it a new purpose.
Today, Real Safety is a team of 12 dedicated professionals. Our award-winning solutions are trusted worldwide – from offshore industry to practical any industry and public areas. Rooftops, staircases, ladders, boardwalks, and any other walkway.

Real Safety Milestones
Vision
Preventing risk and accidents is more important than ever, offshore and onshore, across industries. It is Real Safety’s vision to become the world’s preferred partner for innovative, environmentally-friendly, custom-made solutions, which reduces the risk of accidents happening for people. Both at work or within the public space.
Mission
Our Mission is to create “Best practice” standards within our field of expertise: GRP Composites and anti-slip safety solutions. We aim to reduce the risks through unique customised solutions, using materials that minimise maintenance, enhance safety and promote sustainability.
HQ
We are based in Esbjerg, the maritime and energy capital of Denmark. The office takes up over 1.600m2, which includes offices, production, storage and workshop.
We also have local offices in Stavanger, Norway and have just opened a subsidiary company in the United Arab Emirates. Additionally, we have formed valuable partnerships around the world.
